Overview

Our junior language programme at San Diego State & West Coast Tour is designed for 13 – 18 year old students and offers one week in San Diego with an adapted English course and a full excursion programme to key attractions. The second week includes a fantastic tour by private bus to explore the most beautiful natural wonders and the greatest influential historical sites of the West Coast of the United States.

Tuition

  • 30 hours language tuition in the first week with morning and afternoon classes
  • Qualified and experienced native speaker teachers
  • English level assessment on arrival to ensure students are placed at the correct level
  • Small class sizes with a maximum of 15 students
  • Course book and materials including end of course report and certificate

Excursions

  • Trolley Pass for the length of the stay which allows for travel to all areas of San Diego
  • Daily excursions to San Diego supervised by an activity leader
  • Half day excursion to Westfield Mission Valley Outlet
  • 6 days/5 nights trip to Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco
  • English speaking guide for every day of the tour
  • Entrance to Hoover Dam

Accommodation

    SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY – CAMPUS

  • Accommodation in two double twin bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for students
  • Accommodation in single bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for group leaders
  • Rooms cleaned and bed linen changed at least once a week
  • Breakfast and lunch in modern cafeteria offering a range of healthy meal options and $10 voucher for dinner off campus. *First week only

Booking Deposit

All bookings submitted before the 15th March 2024 will be reserved until this date. 15% deposit of the total agreed course fees must be paid to secure a booking. Any bookings made after the 15th March 2024 will only be confirmed by ZUMA Education on receipt of a 15% deposit of the total agreed course fees. Any bookings made after the 17th May 2024 will only be confirmed by ZUMA Education on receipt of a 50% deposit of the total agreed course fees. If the booking is made within 21 days before the programme start date full course fees are required at the time of booking.

Payment Terms

50% of total agreed course fees must be paid by 17th May. The full agreed course fees must be paid at least 21 days before the course start date. All card payments are subject to a handling fee and a 2% or 4% (American Express) fee levied by the card company. These fees are non-refundable. It is the agent’s responsibility to cover all bank charges and exchange rate differences for the whole transaction. If full payment of course fees in cleared funds is not received before the start date the group will not be allowed to start their programme.

Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the course fees. ZUMA Education recommends that students travelling to USA obtain full travel and medical insurance to ensure their safety and welfare.

It is the agent’s responsibility to apply for and ensure the students are granted the appropriate visa for their period of study with ZUMA Education.
