Overview

Our junior language programme at Barry University with Florida Tour is designed for students aged 11 to 19. The first 10 days takes place in Miami, where students enjoy tailored English lessons alongside a full schedule of excursions to Miami and other exciting local destinations. In the second week, they set off on a private bus tour to explore South Florida’s most breathtaking natural wonders and culturally significant historical sites.

Tuition

  • 15 hours language tuition per week delivered by qualified native speaker teachers
  • Qualified and experienced native speaker teachers
  • English level assessment on arrival to ensure students are placed at the correct level
  • Small class sizes with a maximum of 20 students
  • Course book and materials including end of course report and certificate

Excursions

  • Daily evening excursions to Miami by private bus supervised by an activity leader
  • Full day excursion to Key West
  • Full day excursion to Fort Lauderdale Beach and Las Olas Walk
  • 4 days/3 nights trip to Orlando
  • Activity leader for every day of the tour and English speaking guide at each destination
  • Entrance to Universal Studios Florida and Kennedy Space Center

Accommodation

    BARRY UNIVERSITY – CAMPUS

  • Accommodation in apartments with two double bedrooms, with one shared bathroom for students
  • Accommodation in apartments with two single bedrooms, with one shared bathroom for group leaders
  • Breakfast and lunch in modern cafeteria offering a range of healthy meal options and $15 voucher for dinners off campus. *First 10 days only
  • 24 hours campus and accommodation security

    FLORIDA TOUR – HOTEL

  • Accommodation in quadruple bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for students. *4 students sharing 2 double beds
  • Accommodation in double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for group leaders
  • Rooms cleaned and bed linen changed every day
  • Breakfast in hotel. *Please note that lunch and dinner are not included in the tour

Booking Deposit

All bookings submitted before the 12th March 2027 will be reserved until this date. 15% deposit of the total agreed course fees must be paid to secure a booking. Any bookings made after the 12th March 2027 will only be confirmed by ZUMA Education on receipt of a 15% deposit of the total agreed course fees. Any bookings made after the 14th May 2027 will only be confirmed by ZUMA Education on receipt of a 50% deposit of the total agreed course fees. If the booking is made within 21 days before the programme start date full course fees are required at the time of booking.

Payment Terms

50% of total agreed course fees must be paid by 14th May. The full agreed course fees must be paid at least 21 days before the course start date. All card payments are subject to a handling fee and a 2% or 4% (American Express) fee levied by the card company. These fees are non-refundable. It is the agent’s responsibility to cover all bank charges and exchange rate differences for the whole transaction. If full payment of course fees in cleared funds is not received before the start date the group will not be allowed to start their programme.

Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the course fees. ZUMA Education recommends that students travelling to USA obtain full travel and medical insurance to ensure their safety and welfare.

It is the agent’s responsibility to apply for and ensure the students are granted the appropriate visa for their period of study with ZUMA Education.
