Overview

Our junior language programme at Hawai‘i Pacific University is designed for students aged 13 to 18. It combines interactive English lessons with immersive activities and excursions that showcase the unique traditions, arts and cultural heritage of Hawai‘i, offering students a truly enriching island experience.

Tuition

  • 15 hours language tuition per week delivered by qualified native speaker teachers
  • English level assessment online before arrival
  • Small class sizes with a maximum of 20 students

Excursions

  • Full day excursion to the Polynesian Cultural Centre including Ali’i Luau buffet with live entertainment and the Hā Breath of Life show
  • Full day excursion to Pearl Harbor by private bus (including entrance to the USS Arizona Memorial)
  • Half day excursion Diamond Head State Monument
  • Movie Sites & Ranch Tour at Kualoa Ranch
  • Ala Moana Beach Park and Ala Moana Shopping Centre
  • Various excursions to Waikiki Beach supervised by an activity leader

Activities

  • Varied and exciting evening activities programme in a truly international environment

  • Student common areas for students to socialise in and use the free campus WiFi

Accommodation

  • Accommodation in quadruple bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for students. *4 students sharing 2 double beds
  • Accommodation in double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom for group leaders
  • Rooms cleaned and bed linen changed every day
  • Breakfast at hotel, lunch at modern cafeteria and $15 voucher for meals off campus

Booking Deposit

All bookings submitted before the 13th March 2026 will be reserved until this date. 15% deposit of the total agreed course fees must be paid to secure a booking. Any bookings made after the 13th March 2026 will only be confirmed by ZUMA Education on receipt of a 15% deposit of the total agreed course fees. Any bookings made after the 15th May 2026 will only be confirmed by ZUMA Education on receipt of a 50% deposit of the total agreed course fees. If the booking is made within 21 days before the programme start date full course fees are required at the time of booking.

Payment Terms

50% of total agreed course fees must be paid by 15th May. The full agreed course fees must be paid at least 21 days before the course start date. All card payments are subject to a handling fee and a 2% or 4% (American Express) fee levied by the card company. These fees are non-refundable. It is the agent’s responsibility to cover all bank charges and exchange rate differences for the whole transaction. If full payment of course fees in cleared funds is not received before the start date the group will not be allowed to start their programme.

Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the course fees. ZUMA Education recommends that students travelling to USA obtain full travel and medical insurance to ensure their safety and welfare.

It is the agent’s responsibility to apply for and ensure the students are granted the appropriate visa for their period of study with ZUMA Education.
